A Salute to Georgetown Rotary
“61 Years of Service On The Divide”
The VFW Growlersburg Post 9241 Honor Guard led off the parade.
Georgetown’s own “living legend” Mark Smith and his daughter Patti were this years Grand Marshals. Mark was Rotary’s 1st president in 1948. Patti is this years president.
There were several groups on horseback…..
…..and several riding in wagons.
The local youth soccer club was followed by…..
…..our very own Golden Sierra Junior Grizzlies football team!
How long does it take this guy to deliver a cord?
The parade contained many classic cars…..
…..and some classic gags to entertain the crowd.
A good looking group of kids…..
…..and some genuine Georgetown color.
Classic fire trucks were in abundance on Founders Day.
Georgetown has been devastated by fire 5 times over the years…..
…..so the Fire Department has played a major role in the towns history.
And what Founders Day would be complete without our local chapter of Clampers, ECV #86 bringing up the rear with another tasteful entry!
